Overview

The Physical Inventory module in DASH provides tools for managing and reconciling on-hand inventory counts with system records. It ensures that recorded stock quantities accurately reflect the physical quantities available in the warehouse, supporting audit readiness and precise financial reporting. This module is essential for managers and teams responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, conducting periodic counts, and identifying variances between expected and actual stock levels.

What You Can Do

Physical Inventory contains the following submodules:
  • Inventory Tag Control submodule: Create, assign, and manage physical inventory tags. Tags are used to identify counted items and link physical counts to system records. This integrates with the pallet tag system used in production.
  • Physical Inventory Reports submodule: Generate detailed reports summarizing count activity, discrepancies, and adjustments. Reports provide visibility into variances between perpetual and tracking quantities, helping identify areas requiring investigation.
  • Record Inventory submodule: Enter and reconcile physical count data directly into the system. This allows for adjustments when physical counts don’t match system records.
These tools streamline the entire physical inventory process from initiating a count, through data collection and reconciliation, to posting final adjustments. This module helps to ensure compliance, accountability, and confidence in stock accuracy.
