Overview
The Record Inventory lets you record inventory quantities, assign them to an Inventory Control Tag, and commit the changes to inventory.How to commit to Physical Inventory
Step 1: Retrieve and verify license plate information
If you make a mistake, you can click
Reset Form in the top right corner of the tab to start again.- Go to the Physical Inventory → Record submodule.
- Scan the pre-printed
LocationBar Code of the Product/Part you want to enter into inventory. - Scan the
License Plate #of the Product/Part you want to enter into inventory. - Verify that the Part Number and Description match the product that you are inventorying.
- If they match, proceed to the next step.
- If the Part Number does not match, do not proceed. Instead, place a Yellow Issue tag on the physical Location, then move on to the next location you want to inventory.
- If the Bar Code scanned is not valid, you will see a red error (such as “Invalid license plate, please scan again”) appear. If you try scanning it again and see the same error, do not proceed. Instead, place a Yellow Issue tag on the physical Location, then move on to the next location you want to inventory.
Step 2: Count and enter quantities
Once you have successfully scanned the License Plate, the next step will be to enter the quantity that you have counted.- Count the number of Parts for that Part Number in that Location.
- Manually enter the Count.
- Take note of the Unit of Measurement for this Part, indicated by the letter after the Quantity input field and ensure that you are recording the count in the correct unit.

Step 3: Commit to Physical Inventory
- Remove an Inventory Tag from your assigned roll.
- Place it next to the License Plate.
- Scan the Inventory Control Tag.
- Note: Once the Inventory tag is scanned, the quantity can no longer be edited.
- Review the information for accuracy.
- Click the
Commit to Inventorybutton to enter the item into inventory.
