The Production Tracking → Bottling Jobs submodule provides comprehensive management and monitoring of bottling operations throughout the production lifecycle. This module enables tracking of bottling jobs from initial setup through completion, including production capture, status monitoring, and detailed job analysis.
The submodule contains the following tabs:
- Production Capture: Set up employee assignments and line configurations for bottling operations.
- Pending: View bottling jobs awaiting production start.
- Partially Bottled: Monitor jobs that have begun but not completed bottling.
- Not Complete: Track all bottling jobs that haven’t reached completion status.
- Orphaned: Manage bottling jobs that have become disconnected from active production runs.
- Line Changeovers: Track changeover operations and associated downtime between different products.
- Search Bottling Jobs: Find specific bottling jobs using comprehensive filtering options.
- View Bottling Job: Display detailed information for individual bottling jobs.
Understand Bottling Jobs
Bottling jobs represent the final stage of paint production where dispersed paint is bottled into containers for distribution. Each bottling job is created from completed dispersion batches and assigned to specific bottling lines for production. The system tracks personnel assignments, production progress, timing, and completion status throughout the bottling process.
Bottling jobs progress through various statuses from pending to completion, with comprehensive tracking of production runs, downtime reasons (including changeovers), and quality control measures. The module supports multi-line operations with flexible personnel assignments and real-time status monitoring.
Production Capture
The production capture tab is used by production line workers to record their daily production activities. This tab serves as the primary interface for production line workers to log and track their work throughout their shifts. It’s essentially a digital timesheet and production tracking system combined.

Pending
View a comprehensive table of all bottling jobs that are pending bottling.
Partially Bottled
View a comprehensive table of all bottling jobs that are partially bottled.
Not Complete
View a comprehensive table of all bottling jobs that have not reached completion status.
Orphaned
View a comprehensive table of all orphaned bottling jobs. These are jobs where the production run was inadvertently left open (e.g., employees didn’t properly sign out). If no activity is detected for a set period, DASH will automatically mark the job as orphaned. These require supervisor intervention to resolve.
In the Actions column, if the run needs to be ended click the End Run button.
Line Changeovers
Track and manage bottling line changeover operations and associated downtime. Changeovers occur when production switches from one product to another, requiring line cleaning, equipment adjustments, and setup time.
Line changeovers are tracked as legitimate downtime in the bottling process, ensuring accurate production time calculations. This downtime is not counted against operator productivity metrics and includes time for:
- Line cleaning between different products
- Equipment alignment and adjustments
- Component changes (bottles, labels, caps)
- Quality checks and setup verification
Search Bottling Jobs
Find specific bottling jobs using comprehensive filtering options:
Available Filters
Job Status: Filter by one or multiple production statuses (pending, begun, complete, closed).Raw Material: Filter by raw material.Batch ticket created: Filter by batch ticket creation date.Complete date from: Filter by final completion date.
Generate Search Results
Click Generate Report to display filtered results based on your selected criteria.
View Bottling Job
Display detailed bottling job information by entering specific bottling job numbers:
Bottling Job #: Enter the specific Bottling Job # to view.
This view provides comprehensive details about individual bottling jobs, including all production run information, timing, personnel assignments, and current status.
